Here's the deal, we're from Iceland. Our names ring
with the life-stuff of the land...Petro, Torkk,
Deke, Hans & Durwood. We mainly hail from the
southwestern region known for its cowboyish
antics. Who would have ever thought the Land of
Fire & Ice would give up such gems as the
members of "Test Site 67". With rugged, not so good
looks, we forged our way into the Minneapolis music
scene.
Alright, here's the real nuts & bolts of this
band...
Even though we may look extremely Icelandish, we're
not...'twas just a ploy to make you, the audience,
more susceptible to thinking we're an outlandishly
cool band living, breathing & playing in the
Twin Cities.
In order to get right down to the truth of the
matter, one has to take the very beginnings into
some understanding. This can be slightly
long & intimidating to the short fused readers,
so we'll give you the short, sweet, brevity of the
makings.

Scott (Torkk) started circa the same time as Joel,
learning by watching, singing & playing guitar
with his old man of whom he looks up to the most in
this unforgiving world. He strived toward
something (?), staying mostly a closet musician
until the times beckoned for a wee bit more.. When
is comes right down to it, he met the Boys of
Inertia whilst attending the astute North Dakota
State University, Fargo. In and out of each others
existences over the years, they finally settled for
the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. One day Joel said
"We should have an acoustic band".
Then we have Greg (Hans), stepping cheek deep into
damn hard rock, meandering lazily amongst the
hippie complexity, then diving headlong into
whatever peaked his naked rhythmic curiosity.
Skate-punk from hell was his disposition, yet a
certainty to fall into his shadowless vibe of Test
Site 67.
Last but never least, Daryk (Durwood), saxin' it
from the beginnings of time (high school), the
cowboy of mad-saxers, the Dur of all Wood (winds).
He seems to invoke the wind of some exotic Greek
God yet has the subtlety to pat you on the ass when
you need it most. Effectively turning every genre
he touches into his own, literally smelting his
horns to bend & shape wondrous tone.
